objectives In general, the majority of the timeskip will be spent trying to establish Sam separately from his homoerotically codependent Captain and Sergeant. Steve and Bucky will be sleeping through most if not all of the year, which will give Sam plenty of time to wander and do things on his own instead of tailing them around both for his own comfort and to comfort them. He'll still skip back to the Station to check up on them every once in awhile, but overall, I want to give Sam some freedom to go his own way during this time. Because there won't be any boons going out with the monarchs keeping to themselves, I think I'll focus on Sam's relationship with the PCs and NPCs instead. I'll try to raise his influence with a quest or two, but I really want to focus more on giving Sam a decent view of both sides of the war. This will be really hard with court tension reaching a fever pitch but that's half the fun of it! I am 100% down for playing out conflict during this time, because Sam is more concerned with other people than with his own general well-being. Wandering nomad ready to cook and clean to buy his way across the map right here. Other things I'd like to work on with him: learning how to fly proficiently, learning new healing arts now that more traditional ( Earth-shaped ) methods aren't gonna cut it in this place, and generally starting his introduction to things that will help him adapt better to the Drabwurld. As of J ... une? I think June, ICly, Sam will be looking into setting up his clinic in Treun. This project will not be completed until November, and it'll only get there with support of sponsors like you. spring 2701 mar. As the Roc casts a sudden winter over the Drabwurld, Sam will simply be trying to stay warm, as he doesn't do all too well with the cold. He'll help in his own area with whatever running supplies or canoodling people might have need of, but mostly just sticking to Steve and generally being confused about his life. apr. Sam isn't really a stranger to a sudden onslaught of intense emotions, so he'll be less inclined to think it's magic and believe he's just slipping until he realizes it's happening to everyone else too. Someone might have to convince him to destroy the harp; it seems like such a shame to break something so beautiful. may With Steve and Bucky pulling a Sleeping Beauty again, Sam's going to stay with them for the majority of this month out of confusion and alarm. Someone's gotta watch their backs, and he won't let them wake up alone. But of course, they won't wake up for quite some time, so if someone asks him to go hunting for golden swans, he might take a second for fresh air and some glum figurine collecting. summer 2701 jun. Coming to terms with the idea that Steve and Bucky won't be waking up any time soon, Sam will grow more comfortable with spending prolonged periods of time out in the world without them. He'll help with rot healing as much as he can without any magical abilities, as well as swinging by Treun to start learning more about what skills and abilities might help one thrive in this world. Anyone looking to train or otherwise show off, Sam's 80% there! jul. With solid plans in mind for building the clinic, Sam will be staying in and around Treun to work on financing and furnishing a location. The goings-on in Daonna won't draw him in that direction unless someone tells him they need his help, so he'll likely be staying in this area for the majority of the month. He'll also pop back over to Caer Glaem to help with the manmade lake for a little while. aug. Before making his way back to his favorite losers, Sam'll stop by Leathann's festival to take in the sights and enjoy the lights on a not-date with Natasha. After that, he'll spend the rest of the month sticking to the general area around Steve and Bucky and discussing plans for the clinic with friends. Maybe the faux-bake sale here??? fall 2701 sept. Sam is terrible with picking up languages, so anyone that can't speak English will have to deal with him trying to communicate via ASL or crayons. It'll be fun! He'll still be spending most of his time either at the station or in Treun, trying to help out at the festival to learn more about the people in the location. oct. The darkness granting them free-travel will open Sam up to the idea of trekking where he shouldn't. He'll wander whatever Unseelie lands he can reach, maybe spend some time with Ariadne and help out around her Spire, and will absolutely jump in on Samhain things after someone teaches him how to pronounce it properly. nov. Travelling and exploring, idk idk. winter 2701 - 2702 dec. Yule ain't exactly Christmas but Sam'll still feel inclined to spend it with those two losers back over at the Station and make his way back there to lay low after spending too much time both on the road and in dangerous places. He won't join in on the hunting, seeing it as a kind of morbid and slightly sad thing, but he'll come hang with anyone that wants his company! Time to bake up a storm. jan. More traveling, lots of exploring, idk idk. feb. Steve is waking up this month, which means Sam'll get to fill him in on everything he's done over the year so Steve doesn't feel like he's missed out on a single. second. If he can convince Steve that it's okay to leave Bucky to his nap, Sam will definitely want to drag Steve over to the art festival in Parrais to encourage him to up his game, and then join in on the general upset and panic over the later murders. spring 2702 mar. Zombies! Fuck that noise. Sam has kept up with enough hype ( being disinclined towards video games and movies that are too blatantly violent ) to know that you need a good double-tap to the head and will join in the efforts to protect people and clear out the threat. The doors of the clinic are pushed open as Merida drags an older man in, supporting him by use of her shoulder while another woman takes his other arm, and his weight, against her as she leads him further in without their lady. Merida's dress is torn in places, scratches on her arms where cloth or her wrist guards don't cover them, sword feeling heavy at her side, but not as heavy as her heart as she watches them. There should be three, she thinks to herself. Three knights, not two.
Finding a spare wall as Gwendolyn and Tadhg find a healer, Merida slides down it, pressing her back against the cold and drawing her knees up to her chest, wrapping her arms across and pressing her face into them. Guilt, sadness. A dry sob is heaved from her, shoulders shaking.]

the second merida arrives with her knights, sam and the healers are at their side, talking over one another and the other grim faces filling the living room to make sure they're taken care of. it's a flurry of motion and stern directions and a few minutes of adrenaline-fueled fussing before sam has time to seek out merida, and -

Sam's question makes her pause and uncurl, looking like a child and not at all like the twenty year old she should be. Merida lifts a hand to wipe her wrist over her eyes, taking a deep breath and nodding. Outside is good, outside isn't stifling like the modern buildings usually are for her. She glances off to the side, to where they took her company, brow creasing as she worries herself again to the point of feeling sick. They'll be fine, she thinks to herself, pushing back against the wall and up onto unsteady feet. They'll be okay.
Her hands clench and unclench at her side, trying to find something. A sword, maybe? She couldn't tell. Her sword was right there at her hip. She could feel the weight. Merida lifts a hand to her face, scrubbing away the evidence that she'd been crying.]
Sorry. [It's croaked out, her voice hoarse from shouting orders.] This was th' first place I could think of.
